Africa: Botswana

Hey guys. Today I am making a new blog series. Every week I will talk about a country from Africa.
Today I picked a lovely country called "Botswana".

                                                         Botswana

The people of Botswana feel a great pride in their history and government and share a strong sense of national identity. Today, houses are mostly rectangular and made from modern materials like cement and breeze blocks with metal or tile roofs. On the other hand, there are some poor people who don't have enough money to live well in Botswana. Sometimes children are left in the villages to be raised by other family members while parents work in cities. Botswana has lots of diamonds and these bring in money from other countries.

Main languages: English, Setswana

Main religions: Christianity, indigenous beliefs

Here are some pictures of Botswana

Home schooling

Hey guys this time I am going to be talking about what I did on my first few days of  home schooling.

The first day we learnt about political and physical maps. A political map shows the borders of the land.  A physical map show the Earth's features. We also learnt about longitude and latitude.
The most famous latitude line is the equator.

The second day we learnt about Bulgaria and that we live in the centre of it. We also looked at demographics, which can tell you things like how many males/females live in whatever country. It could also give you information, such as the number of people living somewhere.

The third day we learnt about Europe and that it is the second smallest continent in the world ! We also touched on the EU (European Union) and it is like a club some countries in Europe belong to.  They hope it will make them strong.

I hope you enjoyed my blog BYE!!!!!
