Animals in my garden - my dog

Hello there and welcome to animals in my garden.  Today I would like to speak about my dog, his name is Volks. We've had Volks for 8 yrs but I don't remember him as a puppy. When it's night we have to feed him, so we have to take his bowl, fill it half way with dog biscuits and then say, "WAIT!"  He will not eat untill you say "okay" then he demolishes it all. When we go for a walk he always wants to come so sometimes we say yes and sometimes no. He loves it when you say yes just call him and say "let's go for a walk" and then he barks his head off. The other funny thing is that he doesn't hate cats so we don't have to worry about that.

Animals in my garden - chickens

Hello there! Welcome back to animals in my garden. Today I would like to speak about my chickens. We recently bought a couple of chicken but sadly they've got sick and they are not laying any eggs. We did have seven but four got eaten by a animal, so we were only left with three. But the great thing is that the ones that survived were the ones that lay lots of eggs! When we had all seven of them they used to play a game it's called "eat the grub". They all race for the grub and one that eats it is the winner, but like I said, four of them died. The three that were left were bullies. They picked the feathers out of the other chickens  so we separated them, the bullies in their cage and the others in theirs.

Here is a picture of my chickens !

animals in my garden - turtle

Hello there, welcome all to my garden, this time i'll be speaking about a turtle in my pond. The turtle's name is "Wolverine". He is used to us now and he is very sweet. I always wiggle my finger in the pond and he comes to bite it! He normally thinks it's a worm and other times a tadpole. When it's nice and sunny he goes on his rock he sits there for about 10 - 15 minutes then goes back into the water. We found Wolverine in a canal by the street in the village. When its winter he hibernates in the deep part of our pond. A couple of days later we put a agile frog in our pond and the turtle zoomed for it and ate it ! :(

The grass snake my cat almost killed

Yesterday my Mum and I went into the garden. I was naming a couple of plants when I saw something twiching in the peas, it was my cat trying to kill a grass snake! After I grabbed my cat, the grass snake looked dead but then its head moved. It was playing dead. Then we left it for about 4-5 minuites. When we came back the grass snake's head was straight up, it was trying to climb the wall! I grabbed the video camera but it was out of battery. I only got 1 second of recording ;( we let the awesome thing go and it went in our shed, and that was the last time we saw him.
