2: Did you know:Purple loosestrife can be used as medicine mainly employed as a treatment for diarrhoea..  3: did you know: the plant is used as a cleansing and healing wash for wounds

4: Did you know: Purple loosestrife is a beautiful but aggressive invader, arrived in eastern North America in the early 1800’s. Plants were brought to North America by settlers for their flower gardens, were present in the ballast holds of European ships that used soil to weigh down the vessels for stability on the ocean.
  
5: did you know: The plant forms dense stands with thick mats of roots that can spread over large areas, degrading habitat for many  birds, insects and other species.
