The Horniman Museum!

Hey guys. Today I'm going to do a blog on the Horniman museum. Hope you all enjoy it. See you there! (Thanks Steve for taking us)

                    The Horniman Museum

The Horniman Museum is located in Forest Hill, London. There are a variety of things to see including a Natural history section and an Aquarium. These elements are always on display but there are also different temporary exhibitions running for a few months only. During our visit one of the the temporary displays was Taxidermy, which is an old craft of stuffing animals.

We visited the aquarium first. There were many creatures to see including jellyfish, clownfish and Starfish. It was very pleasant to walk through because you never knew what was around the corner. It was a great layout. After the excitement of the aquarium we discovered the Music Gallery which housed unusual global instruments. Every instrument had a number code which you can enter into a computer. The computer then gives you information about the instrument and a sound demonstration which was awesome!

At the end of the trip we went to burn off some energy in the amazing gardens of the Horniman museum. Overall we had a lovely time I would recommend this museum because it’s a bit smaller than other museums so you don’t get as overwhelmed.
