Africa: Madagascar

Hey guys, today I will be talking about a country in Africa called Madagascar.

                                                      Madagascar

Here are five interesting facts about Madagascar;

1: Madagascar, which has lots of animals,  is an island country off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean.

2: Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world.

3: The official languages of Madagascar are Malagasy and French.

4: Madagascar is home to over 22 million people

5: The highest mountain in Madagascar is Maromokotro at 2876 meters (9436 ft).

There is also a very cool animated film called "Madagascar" Check it out.  Madagascar has two seasons - a hot rainy one and a cooler drier one.  Did you know that two million years ago Madagascar used to be part of the mainland Africa?  OVer time it broke away and reached its current location!

Here are some photos of Madagascar

 Angola is in south west Africa and has a population of 15,375,000 people. The official language in Angola is Portuguese, but they also speak Bantu and other African languages. The highest mountain in Angola is Serra Mountain which is 2610 meters. Angola’s favourite sport is basketball.
The Angola flag is one of my favourite flags. Angola is in the savannah biome .
During the war, many Angolans left their country to search for work in Portugal.
The population of Angola is made up of the following groups of people.
